In investigative journalism, seeing the raw documents and footage may not be enough to explain why a particular story is important. It’s through animation that we can stop the clock, highlight key details, and locate where significant figures are at the scene.

For the Visual Investigations team at the Washington Post, animation is crucial in reconstructing important events. My animation work spanned document highlights and video tracking, to 3D models and maps. I’ve covered visuals on international conflict and right here at our nation’s capital. Working with Visual Investigations has been incredibly meaningful and where I feel my work makes the most impact.
